To Our Village, Our People, Our Community —

We’re overjoyed to reintroduce ourselves as

Malcolm and Sofia Brent-Walton!

Over Memorial Day weekend, we were married in a quiet, intimate ceremony and could not have asked for a more beautiful day or more meaningful moment.

While our ceremony was full of love, peace, and deep connection, we also carried with us the bittersweet feeling of not having everyone we love by our side. Originally, we planned to elope — just the two of us — but we found a service that offered a simple and personal ceremony with a strict guest limit. That limit meant making some incredibly difficult decisions, and we know that may have left some people feeling surprised or even hurt. Please know: it was never about who we love more, but how we could best honor the moment with the options before us.

We’re so grateful for the support, patience, and love of our community — those who’ve raised us, grown with us, and held us close in different seasons of life. Our village means everything to us. We hope this virtual wedding album lets you feel some of the joy and sacredness we felt that day.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you in the moments that lie ahead.

With all our love,
Malcolm & Sofia

- A Special Thanks -

To our incredible families, especially our mothers, Liz Brent and Paula Bailey-Walton — thank you for your unwavering support, wisdom, and love throughout this journey. We’re especially grateful to Liz for hosting a beautiful post-ceremony dinner and to Paula, along with grandmother Shirley Bailey, for organizing such a joyful engagement celebration.

To Cherie and Lorenzo Bellamy — our dreamy engagement in Narbonne would not have been possible without you. Thank you for hosting us so generously, for loving us so fully, and for sharing the warmth and magic of your family values.

To our officiant and beloved family member, Cory Booker — thank you for leading us in a ceremony that was heartfelt, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable. Your words will stay with us always.

We are endlessly grateful.
